WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
In your role as a Shipper Forklift Operator, you will be part of our success by:
Comply with and adhere to employee safety policies, OSHA Safety and Health rules as well as food safety policies and procedures while following all safety rules
Perform duties to select products for customer orders
Prepare and load products for shipment
Must not have more than one forklift related violation or property damage within one (1) year
Store product on shelves and prepare load sheets and any other related shipping documents
Maintain high sanitation levels & monitor cross – contamination hazards
Work with WMS system on Forklifts and/or High Reach Trucks
Perform required audits
Perform necessary sanitation inspections
Responsible for moving trash / scrap and debris
Follow all safety rules / regulations
Keep work area clean and orderly
Perform other duties as assigned
Adhere to Safety, GMP and Food Safety policies / practices
WHAT DO I NEED TO DEMONSTRATE?
As well as a hunger to learn and succeed in Manufacturing, to be considered for this position you must be able to meet the following requirements:
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
Must be able to lift 50 pounds & perform other duties as assigned
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Willingness and ability to work on weekends, holidays, and variable shifts
This position requires regular attendance and punctuality in accordance with Company policies. Additionally, the ability to interact well with other employees and work overtime, as necessary, is required
Prior experience in manufacturing, experience in a food manufacturing plant, experience in a lean manufacturing environment and experience with automated systems
WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?
The ability to work a full shift including night shifts. Come to work on time. Daily and weekend overtime as needed and the ability to work according to the necessary schedule to meet job requirements with or without reasonable accommodation is an essential function of this position.
