Kellogg Logistics Manager, Plant Shipping in CINCINNATI, Ohio

You will lead the distribution team within the manufacturing facility that is focused on delivering on time and complete shipments to our network. This role also owns all inbound material flow to the plant in support of production and must drive inventory control processes. You will own creating a culture that drives for excellence and works end to end to achieve world class results. Develop and drive a continuous improvement mindset by focusing the team on key distribution metrics that allow the team to win the shift, the day and the week while sitting on the Facility Senior Leadership Team which includes developing strategic initiatives and driving operational improvements. In your role as a Logistics Manager at Kellogg, you will be part of our success by:

  • Operationalleadership of the warehouse and related functions

  • Developmentand communication of objectives and strategic vision for logisticsfunctions

  • Providingleadership and vision on technical issues for ID Systems and AGV’s andwell as current warehouse functions

  • Drivingoperational excellence

  • Developingand meeting/beating annual warehouse operations and capital budgets

  • Serve asmember of the manufacturing plant’s Senior Leadership Team

  • ProvidesLogistics expertise at 3rd party contracted plant warehouse (PDC’s) and tosister plants warehouse operations within the region

  • High Schooldiploma/GED with significant relevant experience

  • Demonstratedability to manage complexity along with strong problem solving,negotiating, and decision making skills

  • Ability to effectivelyfunction in a union environment and promote positive labor relations

  • Proven track record insafety and compliance, budget management and success in service to customer

  • Proficiency withcomputers, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

  • Ability to managemultiple and sometimes conflicting priorities with interaction across all threeshifts

  • Proven ability to plan,organize, and effectively manage people

  • Ability to work withemployees at all levels of the organization

  • Demonstrated ability tolead and motivate others


  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with significantindustry experience

  • Experience working with SAP/DLX

  • Knowledge of managing P&L and budgeting

  • Union experience

  • WMS experience

  • Experience with warehouse automation systems andprocesses including AGV’s (Automated Guided Vehicles)


  • Mustbe flexible to support a 24/7 operation, which may exceed a normal 8 hourworkday
