Kellogg Senior National Account Manager - Commercial in IL, United States

As part of the Commercial and Custom sales team you will be responsible for driving Restaurant Chain Account business results. This position is responsible for the implementation and execution against the strategic plans for a high priority, growth engine within Kellogg Specialty Channels in order to drive the Kellogg Company’s annual sales and profit objectives. This includes leading a commercial sales team in the development of customer business plans and responsibility for ensuring execution of all activities related to large account management and development of customer relationships to penetrate all levels and functions of the customer organization, primarily to include marketing, R&D, culinary, innovation and procurement.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

In your role as a Senior National Account Manager at Kellogg, you will be part of our success by:

  • Effectively lead a high performance sales team and generate a strong talent pipeline. Investing in others to build their selling and business acumen skills, demonstrate the ability to develop of people for current and future roles

  • Working with team to develop and execute book of business. Set short and long term sales objectives

  • Analyzing and applying financial disciplines necessary to enhance business decisions regarding the origination and renewal of large multi-year contracts / agreements to ensure achievement of divisional profit and volume goals. Use data to provide and act on business insights that drive actionable results

  • Developing and executing situation assessments, objectives, strategies and execution plans for assigned accounts and lines of business, division, sector if applicable, in line with the divisional strategy

  • Developing a full understanding of the customers’ cultures, their strategic imperatives and direction, and how best Kellogg can provide solutions to their various business units. Penetrate all levels of their organization, from senior leadership down through functional and regional groups

  • Leading development and cross-functional implementation of Joint Business Plans that delivers the expected growth budget

  • Insuring team submits accurate data necessary for finance to build the customer Profit & Losses and analysis

  • Leading all internal initiatives, contracts and proposals to secure cross functional understanding and alignment on customer projects. Work closely with the VP of Sales and the Senior Manager of Business Development

  • Preparing and delivering effective oral and written presentations to influence both internal and external customers

  • Fostering a diverse results-oriented culture where successes are celebrated and employees are motivated and rewarded for both team and individual performance

WHAT DO I NEED TO DEMONSTRATE?

As well as being a creative thinker and strategic leader with a passion for team success, to be considered for this position you also need to meet the following requirements:

Required:

  • High School Diploma / GED

  • Significant related sales experience in either foodservice commercial national account sales, or regional chain account sales.

  • Must be highly skilled in computer and software applications, which are critical in order to effectively, execute the job. i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint and CRM tool

  • Advanced organizational skills

  • Ability to work well cross-functionally.

  • Ability to work in conditions of changing priorities

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Significant related sales experience in foodservice commercial national account sales

  • Demonstrated success leading a sales team or organization.

WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?

The ideal candidate will reside in Elmhurst, IL or Dallas, TX. Will consider candidates in other remote locations as well.

  • Job requires travel, extended work schedule including some weekends

  • Travel required up to 30-40%
