WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

In your role as an EHS Associate at Kellogg, you will have hands on involvement and drive our success as you are / will:

  • Responsible for plant EHS data management systems, using SAP to obtain quotes and place orders and serve as backup to manager for on-call situations

  • Maintain regulatory compliance documentation, while serving as lead for occupational health requirements

  • Assist in the completion of regulatory reports for EPA, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies

  • Responsible for tracking, reporting, and analyzing Safety & Environmental performance metrics

  • Responsible for gathering information related to sustainability programs and track as needed

  • Responsible for the management and maintenance of facility EHS action registers and driving corrective action

  • Responsible to facilitate plant environmental and safety committees and serve as safety training coordinator, developing and maintaining training plans with vendors and department leads

WHAT DO I NEED TO DEMONSTRATE?

As well as a hunger to learn and succeed in EHS, to be considered for this position you must be able to meet the following requirements:

Required

  • High school diploma and previous experience in an administrative role

  • Self-starter with proven ability to work independently with little direction

  • Strong customer focus and customer relations skills

  • Strong personal computer skills and extensive knowledge of MS Office Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy

  • Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and handle competing multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment

  • Demonstrated ability to work well in pressure situations

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule and hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed

Preferred

  • Familiarity with environmental and safety regulations

  • Occupational Health and Safety or Technical degree

  • Emergency Response certification

  • Hazmat certification

  • Familiarity working collaboratively within a Union environment
