Kellogg Logistics Manager II in LANCASTER, Pennsylvania

You will lead the distribution team within the manufacturing facility that is focused on delivering on time and complete shipments to our network. This role also owns all inbound material flow to the plant in support of production and must drive inventory control processes. You will own creating a culture that drives for excellence and works end to end to achieve world class results. In your role as a Logistics Manager at Kellogg, you will be part of our success by:

  • Operational leadership of the warehouse and related functions

  • Development and communication of objectives and strategic vision for logistics functions

  • Providing leadership and vision on technical issues for ID Systems and AGV’s and well as current warehouse functions

  • Developing and meeting/beating annual warehouse operations and capital budgets

  • Serving as member of the manufacturing plant’s Senior Leadership Team and driving operational excellence

  • Developing a strong talent management process

  • Providing Logistics expertise at 3rd party contracted plant warehouse (PDC’s) and possibly to a sister plants warehouse operations within the region

  • Managing team of warehouse employees who provide all storage and loading

  • Driving Budget Development and execution and managing Regulatory compliance


As well as a hunger to learn and succeed in Plant Logistics, to be considered for this position you must be able to meet the following requirements:


  • High School diploma/GED with significant relevant experience

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complexity along with strong problem solving, negotiating, and decision making skills

  • Ability to effectively function in a union environment and promote positive labor relations

  • Proficiency with computers, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

  • Ability to manage multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities with interaction across all three shifts

  • Proven ability to plan, organize, and effectively manage people

  • Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate others


  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with significant industry experience

  • Experience working with SAP/DLX

  • Knowledge of managing P&L and budgeting

  • Union experience

  • WMS experience

  • Experience with warehouse automation systems and processes including AGV’s (Automated Guided Vehicles)


  • Must be flexible to support a 24/7 operation, which may exceed a normal 8 hour workday
