WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

In your role as a Plant Materials Coordinator at Kellogg, you will be part of our success by:

  • Analyzing and interpreting short and long term forecast requirements utilizing the production schedule

  • Maintaining material inventory at lowest dollar levels to meet scheduling requirements and audits receiving usage reports to ensure the accuracy and integrity of material inventories

  • Contacting appropriate suppliers to release materials for timely delivery to support production schedule

  • Being responsible for material procurement and analyses of inventory variances to identify issues or errors and coordinating quarterly physical inventories to update records and assure the accuracy of the material inventory

  • Overseeing all materials ordering, confirmation and processing orders through SAP/MRP System for materials to support production requirements, and assign purchase orders to requisitions

  • Maintaining and confirming inventories at lowest dollar levels while ensuring material availability to meet production schedule

  • Acting as liaison between vendors, plant, and division in resolving material problems and creating proper notifications to resolve material quality and billing issues

  • Being responsible for compliance with all regulations including food safety, allergen and pest control guidelines

WHAT DO I NEED TO DEMONSTRATE?

As well has a hunger to learn and succeed in Manufacturing, to be considered for this position you must be able to meet the following requirements:

Required:

  • High School Diploma/GED

  • Frequently demonstrated experience in materials management or procurement

  • Strong technical aptitude along with proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

  • Ability to effectively communicate, problem solve and manage complex situations

  • Strong attention-to-detail

  • Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization

  • BS/BA and substantial related experience in materials management or procurement in a manufacturing setting

Preferred:

  • Experience with manufacturing scheduling and inventory location systems

  • Ability to function in a union environment and promote positive employee relations

  • Demonstrated SAP/MRP experience

  • DLX experience

  • Experience in a food manufacturing setting

WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?

First shift hours, with flexibility to support a 24/7 operation with some overtime and/or weekends.

The ability to work a full shift, come to work on time, work overtime as needed and the ability to work according to the necessary schedule to meet job requirements with or without reasonable accommodation is an essential function of this position.
