Kellogg HR Director, European Reward (18 month FTC) in MANCHESTER, United States
Join our European Human Resources team and GROW with us as HR Director!
As a leader for European Reward, you'll provide HR direction and strategic leadership for Compensation & Benefits and Pensions. You'll develop and implement reward strategies, policies and practices aligned with the needs of the business and ensure that from an organisation and HR standpoint, the businesses have the capacity to execute near-term business objectives, while developing long-term capability for the future.
WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
As part of the European Senior HR Leadership team, you'll define the Reward priorities for Europe, lead the setting of compensation levels and the salary review process across the region ensuring competitive market pricing in line with Global Reward policy. You’ll also ensure clear line management understanding of pay-for-performance and performance management processes.
Alongside this, you'll be leading the implementation and communication of the global short-term incentive plan and equity based programmes for eligible employees, to comply with global guidelines and timings, along with local bonus practices for those not covered by the global plans.
If that wasn't enough, you'll also lead on any Reward specific projects for the region e.g. the implementation and communication of Sales Incentive Plans across Europe.
As a European leader, you'll lead the job evaluation/levelling policy and process across Europe ensuring it’s in line with Global job sizing and ensuring we have the appropriate Total Reward Package in place for each Global Level.
You'll also monitor and review all benefits, by country, to align with market practice and ensure consistency across Europe and manage and implement Global Benefits Pooling where appropriate.
Added to this, you'll ensure local retirement/pension plans are introduced and managed in line with business needs, global principles and local best practice, using the most cost-effective vehicles available and continuously review the market to ensure plans are market competitive, cost efficient and legally compliant.
Given that you'll be part of the European HR Leadership Team, you'll advise, at senior management level, on matters relating to specific one-off Reward issues such as retention, recruitment, motivation, severance and reward.
You'll also contribute to the design and communication of global reward processes through active participation on the Global Total Reward Leadership Team, and represent area interests, and ensure European compliance with global expatriate and stock option plans.
You'll lead the European Reward team and work collaboratively with our Total Reward Global Business Services team to ensure Reward/Talent Management processes are fully implemented to a high standard. . You will contribute to the wider European HR agenda and build strong working relationships with the HRDs across the region.
WHAT DO I NEED TO DEMONSTRATE?
Graduatelevel education – CIPD qualified
Highlevel of numeracy, good written and presentation skills
Highanalytical and creative thinking skills
Highlevel of leadership, interpersonal and influencing skills
Extensiveexperience within senior Reward role
Extensiveknowledge of Reward best practice in compensation and benefits and pensions
Extensiveknowledge of job evaluation and setting the appropriate salary and totalcompensation levels – bonus schemes, designing sales incentive schemes
Knowledgeof Mercer and Hay job evaluation systems
Extensiveknowledge of European country compensation and benefit practices
Clearunderstanding of Kellogg global principles, policies and reward strategies

This is a 18 month fixed term contract.
This job involves some travel within Europe
