Kellogg Senior Assistant Activation Manager - Fixed term 12 months contract in MANCHESTER, United States

Reporting to the Senior Brand Activation and Promotions Manager and working with the central Cereal Marketing team, you will manage the executional implementation of single and multi-brand promotions for all European markets.

In your role as Senior Assistant Activation Manager, you will be part of our success by:

  • You will be responsible for the implementation of consumer promotions and activations across Kellogg’s EMEA region consisting of 5 cluster regions.

  • You will ensure European promotions and activations are executed with excellence; on time, legally compliant, on budget, and in line with the wider business objectives.

  • You will work with local activation cluster teams to cascade centrally developed promotions and activations. You will support local cluster team with local requirements to activation centrally developed initiatives and act as a daily contact for them.

  • You will support the brand team ensuring that promotion execution details are in a state of readiness at K-Connect meetings (deployment to clusters) and subsequent delivery to market date in the Clusters.

  • Managing all day to day activation project requirements to enable delivery to plan.

  • Ensuring regular linkage with key European Kellogg departments and cluster activation teams to enable activation projects to be delivered to plan.

  • Managing day to day involvement of external suppliers in specific activation projects to ensure all necessary goods and services are delivered to plan and budget.

  • Managing activation project budgets and ensure any changes are captured and pro-actively managed with Finance and the Promotions leads.

· Manage agency relationships and briefing where they are involved with the implementation of promotions.

· Manage (with external agencies) provision of promotion T&Cs and any other relevant checks and processes that must be adhered to in order for promotion plan to be delivered without issue.

  • Acting as a flexible team member to take over other team member projects if needed and deputise for the Snr Brand Activation & Promotions Manager where necessary to ensure department delivery is maintained.

  • Managing the project approvals process ensuring alignment with all key project areas such as POS, Digital and Packaging.

  • Owning the central project working documents and use to provide full clarity to the Clusters and Central Business Units on what is happening when highlighting issues for resolution where they occur.

  • Tracking the redemption performance of live promotions, monitoring for any issues and finding solutions, ensure learnings captured and applied for future activities.

  • Working with the Assistant Activation Manager on a day to day basis to deliver promotions and activations into market.

  • Experience in project management

  • Marketing, Sales or Retail experience

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise

  • The role needs strong organisation, attention to detail and the ability to manage work with multi-functional teams and get the best from them to ensure projects are delivered to time and best effect

  • Demonstrable experience of managing project budgets / trackers


  • Experience gained working with or in an FMCG environment

  • Experience working with and briefing external agencies


Travel within Europe may be required but will not be extensive.
