WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

In your role as an Associate Director, Customer Supply Chain at Kellogg, you will be part of our success by:

  • Developing integrated logistics strategy and supply chain initiatives as part of our overall customer supply chain strategy for customers with highest growth and volume potential to ensure that Kellogg Company is positioned to proactively service the customers’ requirements while meeting Kellogg’s business objectives.

  • Establishing linkage with customer’s senior supply chain management.

  • Developing and implementing measurement report card as defined by the customer

  • Providing performance reporting against executed initiatives to insure continual improvement in the areas of cost to service model. Resolving long-term supply chain issues.

  • Playing an integral role as a member of the Regional Sales Teams to identify and interpret customer needs and opportunities for business development.

  • Identifying and sponsoring of opportunities that reduce total supply chain cost and increases mutual profitability. Responsible for contributing to incremental profitable growth in customer volume as part of business team.

  • Leading process change as it relates to service enhancements and capability improvements.

  • Representing what is best for our customers and Kellogg and be a champion for change

WHAT DO I NEED TO DEMONSTRATE?

As well as a hunger to learn and succeed in Logistics/Supply Chain, to be considered for this position you must be able to meet the following requirements:

Required:

  • High School diploma/GED and extensive related work experience

  • Complete understanding of the overall supply chain and each of its processes and components, Inventory Management, Warehouse Operations, Transportation Management, Materials Handling, Electronic Data Interchange, Trade Marketing, CRM process, Customer Services, Packaging and Customer’ Logistics Practices and Store Operations

  • Customer facing / management experience

  • Self-directed, innovative, and knowledgeable of information systems technology, possess strong communication, leadership, negotiation and influencing skills

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Transportation, Industrial Engineering, Business Management and substantial related work experience in Supply Chain/Logistics

  • Experience working with people across multiple supply chain disciplines

  • Sense of urgency and ownership of resolution, meeting established performance objectives and customer commitments

  • Ability to partner with leaders of other functional areas and business partners to drive overall site performance in a manner that aligns with Kellogg Values Strong problem solving, negotiating, and decision making skills with the proven ability to manage complex situations

  • Project Management experience

  • Training and certification in Six Sigma or LEAN

  • Experience working for a multinational organization and working with colleagues internationally

  • Processed and Packaged foods industry experience

  • Knowledge of Kellogg Company supply chain and possesses a strong sense of customer focus and service orientation

WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?

Travel approximately 25-50% of the time
