Kellogg Lead Insights Manager - Breakfast in PAGEWOOD, Australia

GROW WITH US as you lead and manage the Insights and Planning Breakfast portfolio to ensure pro-active and continuous provision of better business insights and recommendations. Reporting to the Insights, Strategy & Commercial Planning Director, this is a senior role responsible for leading the company’s Breakfast Insights agenda across consumer, shopper, customer and category.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

  • Initiating and managing adhoc brand, shopper and innovation research in order to generate consumer, category and customer insights, trends, etc and provide research/fact-driven advice and recommendations

  • Strategic expert in understanding the breakfast category, K brands and total business performance through regular review and analysis and then driving the organisation to better decisions and outcomes based on this

  • Translating findings and insights into clear, concise and actionable presentations and written reports to guide business decision making

  • Managing a budget to ensure the cost and quality of assigned Insight and Planning initiatives

  • Building strong relationships with cross-functional teams, partnering equally with the commercial functions of Marketing and Sales and contributing to the cross fertilisation of ideas and initiatives across the Kellogg Commercial team

  • Managing and guiding one direct report

WHAT DO I NEED TO DEMONSTRATE?

As well as a hunger to learn, you must be able to meet the following requirements:

Required:

  • Tertiary Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, Quantitative Methods or a related field

  • Previous experience in owning and delivering strategic insights, project plans and partnering with key internal and external stakeholders (ideally within FMCG or allied industry)

  • Solid experience in both qualitative & quantitative research methodology both conventional but also emerging (and a willingness to experiment in new approaches)

  • Solid experience with scan sales and in home panel data (Nielsen, IRI/Aztec, Quantium) in both the analysis and the interpretation

  • Strategic skills in pulling together simple and compelling stories based on insights and analysis

  • Strong communication, persuasion and presentation skills – confidence in dealing with senior leaders

  • Excellent project and time management skills

  • Excellent leadership and team interaction skills

  • A passion for brands and categories
