In your role as an Operations Services Manager at Kellogg, you will be part of our success by:

  • Selecting, developing, and retaining an empowered team that delivers on Operations Services goals consistently and is focused on the continuous improvement of the department

  • Serving as a member of Plant Management Leadership Team setting direction and policy for the entire operation

  • Ensuring delivery of results and continuous improvement on Key Plant Priorities (Safety, Quality/Food Safety, Service, Cost, Talent Development)

  • Managing the operation of the Shipping, Receiving, Planning, Inventory Control, and Materials Management teams

  • Responsible for Kellogg Work Systems deployment within the departments

  • Participating in the business planning and budgeting process

  • Developing short and long-term cost containment/ reduction strategies

  • Maintaining compliance with all regulations; Food safety, Quality, Regulatory (i.e., OSHA/FDA/EPA/DOT) and employee safety policies and procedures.


As well as a hunger to learn and succeed in Manufacturing, to be considered for this position you must be able to meet the following requirements:


  • High School Diploma/GED with substantial experience managing a large department similar to Materials Management, Planning, Transportation or Logistics

  • Proven track record of recruiting, developing, and retaining highly empowered teams that consistently deliver on high standards.

  • Effective communication (both written and verbally) and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complexity

  • Ability to manage multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities

  • Strong problem solving, negotiating, and decision making skills

  • Ability to work with all levels of employees and build effective working relationships


  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (i.e. Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management) with relevant work management experience SAP experience

  • Labor Relations experience (union avoidance or union relations experience)

  • Advanced degree and/or APICS or similar training

  • Experience leading or delivering results in functions other than materials management and planning
