WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

  • You will be ensuring the visibility of all innovation projects to the plant.

  • Organizing and coordinating meetings with the departments affected to conduct trials. These could be internal or external.

  • Liaising with the plant Director on project status prior to implementation & attending the monthly operations call to update teams about plant trials

  • Attend the innovation calls representing the plant

  • Review and update SCR (Supply Chain Request) templates

  • Supervises, manages and monitors plant trials ensuring the correct process is followed

  • Searching for any requested information for the ILM (Innovation Launch Manager) and involve the owners when needed

  • Complete the European technical readiness assessment documents ( Plant part) to progress / non progress with projects

  • Offering advice and control on the new materials Safety and Food Safety norms. Also advise on used packaging according plant specs and needs

  • Managing the correct Research & Technology support and ensure resources are provided

  • Managing resources and timing for tests and ensuring results are delivered on time

  • Be part of the BLG team and attend calls and meetings when requested (BLG= Bottom Line Growth )

  • Complete any corresponding documents for innovation plant initiatives.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DEMONSTRATE?

  • Ability to learn quickly in order to understand plant roles as well as the European contacts to obtain, share information and progress with innovation projects

  • High level of English and communication skills

  • Technical knowledge of plant equipment and processes (Process, Packing , ...)

  • Raw material knowledge (raw materials analysis to ensure its suitability)

  • Experience of working directly with suppliers.

WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?

  • The position needs to offer a view and a support of the innovation due based on the day to day production programs and forecasts.

  • The load of work is proportional to the number of projects and involvement the role is asked for.

  • Will be a single point of contact for the plant.

  • Requires a degree of flexibility to potentially be included in a week end cover rota and may need to be contactable out of hours when required for matters concerning your role

  • May be required to provide holiday cover within the team.
