As a Quality Material Practitioner you will execute strategies to ensure that Wrexham Plant can consistently deliver legal & safe food. This will involve implementing and executing food quality systems and practices to ensure that Wrexham Plant is in compliance with Company policy and statutory legal obligations.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

  • You will be ensuring compliance on incoming raw materials, packaging and release of sensitive ingredients

  • You will be reviewing raw material specifications and escalating any concerns to our European quality partners & procurement

  • Reviewing weekly complaint data for any supplier related issues and follow up with suppliers on their corrective actions

  • Conducting traceability exercises when required

  • Supporting internal and external audits

  • Collecting samples for review and analysis

WHAT DO I NEED TO DEMONSTRATE?

Required:

  • BRC & Regulatory knowledge including weights & measures

  • Knowledge and application of Food Quality systems

  • Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing plant process systems, quality and food safety programs and controls

  • Comprehensive understanding and ability to execute against food quality audit schemes

  • Excellent Computer based skills

  • Analytical/Decision Making, root cause analysis and problem solving skills
