The Wrexham Kellogg plant was opened in 1978 and is part of the world wide Kellogg Company established in the US. The Wrexham plant manufactures ready to eat cereals including Special K, Bran Flakes, All Bran and Nutri Grain Crunchy.
An exciting opportunity exists for a Stock Controller working with the Inbound Logistics Team based at the Wrexham Manufacturing Site. The role will be responsible for ensuring the correct stock control levels in SAP and OPUS are maintained on a daily basis and carrying out regular cycle counts in conjunction with all relative stock adjustments.
WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
In your role as Stock Controller you will be accountable for:
Ensuring the OPUS (warehouse system) cycle counts are correct and working in all areas of the plant.
Supporting Goods Receiving or Line Supply with all stock control issues.
Ensuring all materials have been counted, stock adjusted and are in line with the bill of materials.
Checking all deliveries have been receipted correctly, signed, scanned in to the OPUS system and transferred into SAP with the correct weight and quantity.
Amending any outstanding purchase orders in SAP and discussing any issues with the appropriate Materials Planner.
Identifying the materials which need stock adjusting through reviewing the schedule and discussing with the relevant team.
Ensuring all receipts are off loaded, checked off and located correctly against the daily call off sheets.
Participating in the Employee Development Review process to drive self and team development.
Responsible for managing own work area and ensuring compliance with relevant documentation / standards and escalate as necessary.
Responsible for ensuring improvement activities are driven and executed on day to day (Safety, Food safety etc.,)
Responsible for ensuring completion and sign off of MSS tasks.
Responsible for delivering all relative performance KPI’s in the team area.
Responsible for developing and training out training documentation for equipment as an equipment owner and expert of relevant work area.
Work with functional departments to develop Quality and Food safety documentation.
WHAT DO I NEED TO DEMONSTRATE?
To be considered for this position you must be able to meet the following requirements:
Organisational, interpersonal, communication skills. This is critical for training to build team capability.
Ability to handle a variety of tasks and prioritise self. Must be numerate, detail conscious and have the skills to report information both verbally, written, and system based.
Previous experience in a similar role.
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
Computer Skills, particularly in MS Excel
Previous experience using SAP.
Experience of OPUS.
Previous goods in experience.
