HERE’S A TASTE OFWHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • MaintainingEquipment and Amplifying your PLC knowledge– You will be constantlyalternating in betweentroubleshooting, preventativemaintenance, and on the spot machine repair. You will need a firm focusand understanding of programmable logic controllers. This person must becreative in their solutions without being unclear in their documentation.

  • AnalyzingConditions and Providing Solutions -Identifying and examining production equipment failures to understand rootcause analysis, with the help of interpreting schematics and drawings.Investigating and repairing electrical & mechanical systems such as:pneumatics, drives and hydraulics, and conveyors.

  • PrioritizingInnovation and Communication - Activelyseeking ways to improve plant efficiency and cost savings and maintainingan open dialogue with lead and supervisor regarding day-to-day activities.

YOURRECIPE FOR SUCCESS

Required:

  • High Schooldiploma or GED

  • Basiccomputer skills including Microsoft Office

  • Demonstratedknowledge of behavior based safety systems

  • Two year Associate Degree in electrical/electricaltechnology and two years applicable experience or four years electricalexperience in a heavy industrial environment or a Journeyman status from arecognized state department of labor or US Department of Labor program

  • Must have demonstrated knowledge of andexperience in the principles of electricity and electronics

  • AdvanceAllen Bradley, PLC and HMI programming skills

  • Must have experience with RS Logix (5, 500,and 5000) software and HMI control

  • Experience troubleshooting PLC programs andhardware

  • Must have aworking knowledge of the National Electric Code

  • Must be ableto read and interpret electrical and electronic/mechanical drawings,prints, schematics, and computer programs

  • Must be ableto operate and interpret all types of electrical test equipment

  • Must be ableto trouble shoot and repair all types of electrical/electronic circuitsand equipment

  • Must havedemonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair electronic andcomputerized equipment including PLCs, AC/DC drives, motor controlsystems, and related equipment and systems.

  • Desiredqualifications to include welding, machining, pipe fitting,processing/packing machinery repair, conveying equipment and belting,sheet metal work, and the ability to work efficiently and cohesively in afast paced, goal orientated environment.

  • Must followall Safety and Food Safety guidelines.

  • This position requires regular attendance and punctuality inaccordance with Company policies. Additionally, the ability to interactwell with other employees and work overtime, as necessary, is required.

  • Sitting,standing, walking, lifting and / or repetitive tasks throughout theday. Employee will be required to occasionally lift up to 50lbs

Bonus Points:

  • Associate’sDegree in a technical field or closely related discipline

  • 4 yearsapprenticeship or 8000 hours of practical experience and training in thisarea

  • Generalmechanic experience with related technical degree

  • Previouswelding experience
