HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Keeping The Lights On – You will be responsible for emergency services 24/7. You will need a firm focus, understanding and continuous improvement to utilities and facilities. Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, refrigeration, boiler and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of utilities and facility machines.

  • Managing People – Manage two technicians’ day to day operations to perform scheduled maintenance repairs of utilities and facility equipment including replacing failed components. Review and improve preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance.

  • Analyzing Conditions and Providing Solutions - Identify and examine production equipment failures to understand root cause analysis, with the help of interpreting schematics and drawings. Read and interprets equipment manuals, piping diagrams, blue prints, electrical schematics and work orders to perform required maintenance.

  • Prioritizing Innovation and Communication - Actively seeking ways to improve plant efficiency and cost savings and maintaining an open dialogue with lead and supervisor regarding day-to-day activities.

  • Managing System Programs – Managing PSM (Process Safety Management) of ammonia systems to ensure all state, federal & Kellogg policies & guidelines are being adhered to.

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

Required:

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Ability to work extended work schedules, daily and weekend overtime

  • Proven ability to work well independently and as a member of a team

  • Experience and ability to work in fast paced environment

  • Strong written & verbal communication skills

Bonus Points:

  • 2 years relevant Utilities maintenance related experience

  • Food Experience

  • Desired Certifications: RETA - CIRO Certified, Boiler Operator Certification, UT Waste Water Operator Certification, Air Compressor knowledge / certification and HVAC Formal Training Certification

  • Experience in a Union environment
