Kellogg Lead Application Developer - eCommerce in BATTLE CREEK, Michigan

We have an opportunity for a Lead Application Developer– Adobe & Salsify, at either our Oak Brook, IL, or Battle Creek, MI or Chicago, IL locations


As the Lead Application Developer for Sales & eCommerce, you will provide technical leadership for the implementation of technology solutions in support of the Kellogg Digital Transformation Strategy. You will build, transform and enhance systems and capabilities that align with enterprise standards, take into account the existing landscape, recommend and implement technically sound solutions that successfully deliver results that are aligned with business objectives.

  • Collaborate with the business: You’ll work closely with clients, business analysts and team members to understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions for the ecommerce, Account & Brand teams. These solutions must be aligned with business and IT strategies and are in compliance with the organization’s architectural standards.

  • Application Development: You’ll be involved in the full systems life cycle, responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing and supporting application software delivering on time and within budget.

  • Architecture design input: You’ll participate in component and data architecture design, technology planning, product evaluation, advanced testing processes and buy vs. build recommendations. Also provide input to project plans related to the application development initiative.


Required Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED and extensive related experience as a Lead developing/configuring eCommerce systems

  • Application programming and system analysis/design experience implementing and enhancing solutions such as Salsify, Adobe, SAP, PIM/STEP, Pricespider, Brandview

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex problems or processes that span multiple business areas, identify and understand requirements, and develop alternate solutions.

  • Experience designing, developing and testing applications using proven or emerging technologies.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communications skills

  • Experience managing and prioritizing needs across IT projects

  • Experience working with global teams and managing vendor teams

  • Willingness to learn and master new technical skills

  • Ability to maintain effectiveness and priorities in a continually evolving, time sensitive environment

Bonus Points:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

  • PMP, Agile (CSM, ACP, SAFe) or similar Certification
