HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Develop and build engineering design and strategies - for various mechanical systems including; boiler/steam, chilled water and other refrigerant systems, HVAC, water systems (potable, hot, grey, waste, etc..) dust collection, and many more and ensure the system designs are people safety, food safety and cost effective; assist in the development and maintenance of mechanical systems guidelines, best practices, specifications and design standard, tools, strategies, and direction for improvements
Provide technical expertise and program leadership - to multiple project teams in the areas of; design, specification, vendor selection, procure and install strategies, people safety, food safety, diversity contractors, value engineering, constructability, cost control, estimating and scheduling, oversight structure, and application of Kellogg Contractor Work Rules (KCWR) and coach capital project teams on “alternative” project solutions
Maintain and coordinate alignment of mechanical systems - with other stakeholders including: GE, Technical Services, Quality, Food Safety, Sanitation, EHS, Finance, Procurement; Monitor, track, and report various mechanical issues and trends to leadership, additionally provide leadership and direction to third party service providers including Engineering Service Providers, and Loss Consultants
Conduct major capital project reviews - as requested and lead the Community of Practice forum in the development of mechanical systems best practices
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, construction, or technical discipline and significant related experience
Broad based experience leading mechanical areas of capital project execution in industrial / manufacturing environment
Experience with direct supervision of contractors and construction activities
cGMP experience in Food or other CPG type company.
Diverse experience with multiple plant mechanical systems, design, build, startup, troubleshoot, and real life cycle performance know how.
You lived through the troubles of a system design, built, or operated in poor condition. You know what it takes to get it right.
