Kellogg Research & Development Process Leader in BATTLE CREEK, Michigan

As a Process Leader you’ll provide technical assistance for the production of food prototypes through directing the daily operation of production equipment at our state-of-the art Pilot Plant facility. Excited to hear more? Us too.

HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Technical Advice – you’ll offer operational assistance to define Pilot Plant trial requirements, choose test equipment, target processing conditions, and coordinate testing goals

  • Communicating and coordinating - test requirements, objectives, and issues critical for maximizing effectiveness of the pilot plant equipment and its resources is a strong priority to you.

  • Leading - activities of contracted personnel in the areas of equipment sanitation, processing, packaging, general cleaning, and a variety of general labor tasks.

  • Safety First - ensure the area’s safety of visitors, vendors, customers, and general contract labor is a top mission.

  • Hands-On Work- hands-on assembly of test processing equipment and confirmation of its proper working order. Addressing operational, maintenance, or safety issues identified

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

Required:

  • High School diploma/GED with substantial experience in food processing or related field.

  • Acts independently to organize, solve problems, and manage time and resources to meet demanding schedules and performance goals.

  • Hands-on mechanical aptitude, tool use, fork truck and scissor lift operation, in addition to operation of multiple types of changing process equipment.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office products for purposes of communication and formula manipulation.

  • Experience working on teams providing reliable and self-directing service.

Preferred:

  • Bachelors of Science, such as Engineering (e.g., Biosystems, Chemical, Mechanical), Food Science, or science-related field.

  • Organized individual with ability to be flexible to changing circumstances.
