Kellogg Senior Financial Analyst in ELMHURST, Illinois

As a Senior Financial Analyst at Kellogg’s you’ll be responsible for financial analysis to support Specialty Business to drive improved margins. Working out of our vibrant Elmhurst, IL Sales office, using your can-do, go-getter attitude, you’ll meet deadlines, and new people—engaging with multiple levels of personnel throughout our company to get the job done. HERE’SA TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

ComplexAnalysis – In this role you’ll have a firm focus on performing complex analysis as well as generating models to support strategic initiatives. You will be involved with the explanation of deviations between actual vs. expected results. We’re looking for someone who has a passion for analytics – we want it to bring out the tiger in you!

Process and Reporting – A valued part of our team, you’ll have key responsibility for managing the trade process, to include monthly journal entries, analysis, and customer payments. Additionally, you’ll prepare monthly reports, journal entries and variance analysis in support of the monthly close process for the channels, portfolio and supply chain areas.

ContinuousImprovement –With an owner’s mindset, you’ll identify areas where we can standardize processes and develop better ones. You’ll also review proposed projects or initiatives and determine financial viability. Our success is shaped by you.

Partnerships –We believe in collaboration! You’ll interact with Commercial Finance and other business partners to help ensure we are meeting expectation. We value your insights, and will look to you to provide analytical and problem solving support, along with presenting your findings and recommendations.

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Finance/Business related fieldand/or significant related work experience

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word,Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook

  • Proficient knowledge of enterprise resource planning(ERP) and other financial planning systems is required

  • Attention to detail and strong analytical, decisionmaking, and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and build strongcross-functional partnerships

Preferred:

  • Experience with SAP-specific financial planning systems

  • Pivots and large data manipulation ability a plus

  • Extended working hours and some limited travel may berequired.
