Associate, Retirement

(Grand Rapids, MI) Manage all administration of the US and Canada retirement plans in compliance with plan texts and contracts. Completion of service requests from vendor within defined timeframes. Facilitation of issue resolution when the set process does not work; own working relationships with vendors to address (includes resolving vendor system errors). Addresses internal escalations, & facilitates completion of cases in cm. Calculating and recording of KPI and SLA achievement. Facilitating data corrections from quarterly DC audit. Provide second level invoice validation for S & I plan invoices. Completes all audit activities (i.e., S & I Canada audit, quarterly pensionable hours audit, ongoing retirement audit eligibility) owns and manages significant regulatory and legal requirement activities (e.g. Form 5500, proxy filing, government reporting). Completion of DB non-qual. quarterly forecasting. Facilitating and executing the annual pension validation process. Complete funding requests for NQ DC plan. Enter payments into vendor system, which includes calculating tax withholding. Facilitate requests for FICA calculations for NQ DB payments (must understand the formula to validate accuracy of calculation). Review the loan delinquency file and validate that any audit findings are cured. Participate in non-discrimination testing. Lead and complete all year-end activities, included year-end processes for Canada retirement plans. Facilitate Pringles DEC projection and annual payout. Ensure plan compliance with required minimum distributions. Update and validate key employee list. Calculate RC for eligible international participants. Performing retirement reconciliation process. Supporting production and delivery communications partnering with COE to understand and integrate system updates. Requires 5 years of experience in the following: Advanced Excel (ability to use pivot tables, v-look ups and create macros); US retirement plans (401k, DB, DC, Non-Qualified plans) in compliance with policies, contracts, and collective agreements; administering complex multiple plans; HRIS systems (i.e. Success Factors, SAP); performing internal and external audits (i.e. SOX, pension valuation, Form 5500, deferral/match/er contribution audits); assisting with the preparation of retirement plan materials (i.e. participant correspondence, targeted communications, presentations).
