Kellogg Operational Excellence Specialist, Invoice to Cash in GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan

In the role of Operational Excellence Specialist, Invoice to Cash you will be a key part of the Kellogg Company’s success. Working as part of the great Kellogg community at our Global Business Services (GBS) location, you will drive operational effectiveness within the invoice to cash (ITC) process by identifying areas for improvement and standardization. HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Setting the Strategy and Driving Execution – As the ITC executional expert, you’ll play an integral part in the development of policies and procedures that support improved interaction between all stakeholders, creating a linkage between and across functions, to drive GBS strategy for ITC processes. You’ll also identify effectiveness and efficiency opportunities centered around compliance, reporting, capability building, business partnering and overall technical expertise.   • Collaboration is Key – With an owner’s mindset, you’ll collaborate with key business partners to bring awareness to customer trends, and proactively work with the team to identify and improve our ITC control environment, minimizing risk. You’ll also join forces with key business partners to execute strategies to maximize revenue and cash flow. Our team is continually moving towards progress.

  • Customer Service and Communication – Two scoops of Customer Service and a bowl full of Communication will help you be successful in this role. We’re looking to you to ensure a strong and consistent customer experience is delivered to ITC’s internal customers. Our success is shaped by you.

  • Insights and Analysis – Got an idea?! We’d love to hear it! We are always looking to identify opportunities to maximize technology and drive data compliance, in addition to driving improved business performance and efficiency through data analysis and interpretation of insights. YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting or related field; +3 years related experience; OR 10 years in-depth experience in Invoice to Cash processes

  • Expertise knowledge of Invoice to Cash processes

  • Computer skills, including experience with ERP systems, MS Office

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience using analytics and critical thinking skills to develop strategies and recommend appropriate business controls to remediate risk

  • Ability to identify and communicate key business opportunities through data analysis, creating impactful visual representations of data

  • Ability to influence across the organization

  • Attention to detail and ability to hold others accountable without direct supervision

  • Solution oriented

  • Experience working in a shared services, process driven or service center environment

  • Awareness of Six Sigma practices and change management

  • Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP

  • Proficiency Microsoft Office - Word, PowerPoint, Access and deep Excel skills

  • Sense of urgency and ability to work in a team environment

  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities

  • Excellent time management skills

Bonus Points:

  • +5 years of related work/leadership experience

  • Experience in audit role, internal or external to Kellogg Company

  • Training and certification in Six Sigma or LEAN, or similar quality management experience

  • Processed and packaged Foods industry experience
