HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Leadership - Serving as a member of Plant Management Leadership Team, holding the department accountable for adherence to plant direction and establishing and ensuring achievement of all unit Key Performance Indicators while ensuring adherence to and continuous improvement for all area MCRS elements.

  • Compliance - Accountable for compliance with all regulations. Food safety – plant in proper sanitary condition at all times. Compliance with food safety policies and procedures. Compliance with employee safety policies and procedures.

  • Planning - Participating in the business planning and budgeting process by developing short and long-term cost containment/reduction strategies. Execution of projects within assigned area by monitoring project plans and status to ensure completion. Ensuring raw materials are converted into finished goods for assigned area/shift

  • Continuous Improvement and Development - Responsible for deploying and sustaining Lean Training, coaching and developing on the Kellogg Work Systems (KWS) model. Accountable for compliance with all Employee Safety, Food Safety and Sanitation policies and regulations. Responsible for managing and developing a team, including employee performance development, recognition, compatibility, and employee progression.

  • Ownership - Owning all the PDQCSM (Production, Delivery, Quality, Cost, Safety, and Morale) scorecard measures for the department and Safety, Morale, and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), Capacity, and Cost. Accountable for SOL management. Owning the department culture – safety, quality, and organizational.

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

Required:

  • High School Diploma/GED with significant managerial experience in a manufacturing setting

  • Your expertise of applying Lean principles and engaging others to set us up for success

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate others

  • Strong problem solving, negotiating, and decision making skills with the proven ability to manage complex situations

  • Proficiency with computers, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

  • Collaborative work style, working cross-functionally is a big part of this role

Bonus Points:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field

  • Green Belt in Six Sigma or Certification in Lean Mastery

  • Experience in successfully managing and leading teams

  • Business Acumen – having worked 2-3 different functional areas of a manufacturing organization, will be key to success in this role!

  • Technical and Operations experience in process, bulk material delivery, and packaging

  • Ability to operate in a union environment, promoting positive labor relations

  • Experience in the food production/CPG industry

  • SAP experience
