Kellogg Student Support - Kellogg's Foodservice in GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan

As a Temporary Student Support on the Specialties team, you will be performing a mixture of administrative duties and ongoing project support work. Intrigued yet? Because it only gets better! In this role, having an “owner’s mindset” paired with your initiative and curiosity will take you a long way. You will be encouraged to “follow your nose” (as Toucan Sam would say) and pursue opportunities to engage in a collaborative environment, sharpening your business acumen. And did we mention there’s plenty of snacks?!?

You will be working out of Grand Rapids, MI where you will gain exposure to both Kellogg’s and Gordon Food Service (GFS). This is a unique opportunity as you will gain valuable experience and make connections with two great companies. During the first half of the assignment, you will be working at Kellogg’s. The second half, you will be working at the corporate office of Gordon Food Service. Here, we need your help in driving efficiencies between Kellogg, GFS, and the distributor team in order to create insights to the mutual business. Now, let’s achieve something great together!


  • The Daily Grind – You will need to be comfortable working independently. And your analyticalskills will be much needed in this role! Day to day, you will work throughdaily tasks such as data mining, marketing metrics, and geographictargeting that contribute to the success of the business.

  • You’re Part of a Team – Your main contact will be the Distributor DevelopmentTeam. However, communication will be key as this role does requirecross-functional work with areas such as Marketing, Sales Strategy, andCustomer Service.

  • Special Projects – This role requires strong project management skills. Your skills will beutilized during one to two special projects over the duration of your rolethat will require you to work closely between the Marketing and Salesteams.

  • And you have to be able to juggle – Multiple and conflicting priorities will come up underspecific time constraints. You have to be quick to act when these issuesarise.



  • Pursuing degree in Sales, Marketing, Communications, orother related field at an accredited institution

  • Enrolled in at least 6 credit hours

  • Must live within a commutable distance to the worklocation

  • Minimum of 2.7 GPA (Cumulative)

  • Available for a 9-month assignment

Bonus Points:

  • Knowledge of Excel

  • Experience with Digital Marketing

  • Background in Sales
