Kellogg Plant Operations Manager II in JACKSON, Tennessee

Looking not just short but at the long term strategy is your specialty as the Plant Operations Manager II here in Jackson, Tennessee. Your execution of projects while keeping in mind our overall process including safety, sanitation and processes is what we have been looking for, because we believe in working with great people like you to accomplish our goals.

The City of Jackson and surrounding communities is a great place to live! The Kellogg’s manufacturing facility sits in the outskirts of Jackson; however, the site is located within 30mins of a half dozen great towns and activities. Jackson, Milan, Lexington, Medina, Cedar Grove, Henderson and a few other communities combined will provide everything a person desires all within a short distance of the Kellogg’s site. A few highlights include, FIVE state parks, SEVEN State or Private Universities, Top State Ranked Private and Public ranked K-12 Schools, and all the shopping or dining options you can handle. If a weekend getaway is needed that involves “big city life," Jackson sits right between two major cities, with Nashville and Memphis located just over an hour away.   • Budgeting and Planning – you’ll participate in the business planning and budgeting process by developing short and long-term cost strategies

  • Culture Ownership – people safety is our top priority here, you’re responsible for owning the department culture that includes safety, quality, and the overall organization.

  • Learning and Development – let’s help our team grow and learn as you coaching and develop leaders on the Kellogg Work System, look at employee performance development, recognition, compatibility, and employee progression / readiness.

  • Driving Metrics – our performance driven culture is nothing new to you as you look to measure Production, Delivery, Quality, Cost, Safety, and Morale through scorecards.

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

Required:

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Experience with leading and applying lean principles in a manufacturing environment

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate others

  • Strong problem solving, negotiating, and decision making skills with the proven ability to manage complex situations

  • Proficiency with computers, including the Microsoft Office Suite

  • Collaborative work style, able to partner with leaders of other functional areas and business partners to drive overall performance

  • This is a 24/7 operation and this role will require occasional off-shift and weekend hours

Bonus Points:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Experience in successfully managing and leading teams

  • Technical and Operations experience in process, bulk material delivery, and packaging

  • Experience in leading Kellogg Work System activities

  • Experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods Industry

  • SAP experience
