Our Jackson facility is located in West Tennessee on the "Heart of the Music Highway" between Memphis (76 miles) and Nashville (70 miles). HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Process Optimization – Keeping the plant production processes efficient is your main objective, working through a lens of improving process flow, reduced inventory costs, area loss reduction, and implementing efficiency-promoting practices. Plan on partnering with other key functions and partner plants on executing projects including R&D, the Manufacturing Reliability team, the Continuous Improvement team, and autonomous maintenance team.
Leadership by Example – Your leadership and coaching skills will be put to good use as you develop high performing teams through Kellogg Work Systems (KWS) tools that identify and analyzes losses to develop solutions and control plans. You will be partnering with other manufacturing facilities to build capability of the other Process Engineers.
Corporate Collaboration – You will work closely with corporate partners to optimize processes. Plan on working closely with the Business Supply Chain Lead on project execution and support. You will work with Research & Development on food image and technical expertise. You’ll align on loss analysis with our corporate KWS team.
KPI’s and Work Standards – As a goal oriented person, KPI’s are the peanut butter to your jelly, making it easy to develop, implement and track progress throughout the plant. Work like an owner by developing and leading Plant Manufacturing Standards for the production lines.
Driving Best Practices – You will learn best practices along the way, so be sure to share your key learnings as they come. You will work across platforms to provide leadership and technical expertise. We need your expert communication skills to ensure we replicate operation excellence across all shifts and lines.
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
Demonstrated experience in food processing and/or food packaging
Strong product and process optimization skills
Experienced with manufacturing environments including safety, ingredient management, manufacturing processes, packaging processes, quality & food safety, GMP and Lean Six Sigma principles.
Ability to define, develop, and implement complex product and process optimization projects utilizing Kellogg Work Systems
Proven success at influencing others to deliver results and create winning team culture
Six Sigma Certified
Consumer Package Good, Food, or Beverage industry experience
Experienced in Integrated Work Systems (IWS) model and concepts
