HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
TheDaily Grind – Preparing and setting up machinery for scheduledproduction runs. Repair, rebuild or create spare parts for equipment andmachines. Inspecting used parts to determine changes in dimensionalrequirements using rulers, calipers, micrometers and other measuringinstruments. Build tooling and fixtures to print as required along withBasic fabrication. Performing repairs of production equipment includingreplacing failed components such as bearings, motors, starters, solenoids,etc.
Respondingto equipment breakdown - Dismantling defective machines and equipment andinstalling new or repaired parts, following specifications and blueprints,using precision measuring instruments and hand tools
AnalyzingConditions and Providing Solutions – Accuratelyread and interpret drawings of various kinds. Meet design specifications,holding necessary tolerances. Recommend solutions for design problems ofparts and products. Develop product fixture prototypes.
SpecialProjects – Performing mechanic skills including, but not limitedto: mechanical, electrical, MIG/TIG, pneumatic and hydraulictroubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines.Performing other duties as assigned by management
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
High School Diploma orGED
Five years’ or moreexperience in an industrial plant environment as a Maintenance Machinist /Technician
Basic computer skillsincluding Microsoft Office and other alike software to appropriatelyrecord work orders and PMs
Ability to work wellwith all levels of personnel individually or in team environment andinterface and communicate with production line workers
Meet safety,housekeeping, and ergonomic requirements
Able to operate milling,lathing and drilling machines
Able to test and measureequipment
Able to operate machineshop tools and equipment
Able to use basicmeasurement devices
Basic of pneumatic orhydraulic systems
Sitting, standing,walking, lifting and / or repetitive tasks throughout the day.Employee will be required to occasionally lift up to 50lbs
Associate’s Degree in a technical field or closelyrelated discipline
Previous welding and fabrication experience
