HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • The Daily Grind – Fabricating and machining parts using lathe, Bridgeport mill, MIG/TIG welding and standard shop equipment. Preparing and setting up machinery for scheduled production runs. Repair, rebuild or create spare parts for equipment and machines. Inspecting used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using rulers, calipers, micrometers and other measuring instruments. Build tooling and fixtures to print as required along with basic fabrication. Performing repairs of production equipment including replacing failed components such as bearings, motors, starters, solenoids, etc.

  • Responding to equipment breakdown - Dismantling defective machines and equipment and installing new or repaired parts, following specifications and blueprints, using precision measuring instruments and hand tools

  • Analyzing Conditions and Providing Solutions Accurately read and interpret drawings of various kinds. Meet design specifications, holding necessary tolerances. Recommend solutions for design problems of parts and products. Develop product fixture prototypes.

  • Special Projects – Performing mechanic skills including, but not limited to: mechanical, electrical, MIG/TIG, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines. Performing other duties as assigned by management

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Five years or more experience in an industrial plant environment as a Maintenance Machinist / Technician / Fabricator

  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and other alike software to appropriately record work orders and PMs

  • Ability to work well with all levels of personnel individually or in team environment and interface and communicate with production line workers

  • Meet safety, housekeeping, and ergonomic requirements

  • Able to operate milling, lathing and drilling machines

  • Able to operate MIG/TIG welders

  • Able to test and measure equipment

  • Able to operate machine shop tools and equipment

  • Able to use basic measurement devices

  • Basic troubleshooting knowledge

  • Basic knowledge of pneumatic or hydraulic systems

  • Sitting, standing, walking, lifting and/or repetitive tasks throughout the day. Employee will be required to occasionally lift up to 50lbs

Bonus Points:

  • Associate’s Degree in a technical field or closely related discipline

  • Previous welding and fabrication experience
