Kellogg Power Controls & Information Systems Engineer in MEMPHIS, Tennessee

In the role of Power, Controls, and Information Systems (PCIS)Engineer , you will have ownership for planning, executing, and providing technical expertise for plant electrical systems and equipment. Under the leadership of the Sr. Systems Engineer, you will be leading the PCIS portion of the Engineering Department to deliver on action plans and contribute towards the strategic vision. PLC programming, instrumentation, and controls knowledge will be key! As you strive towards meeting our continuous improvement goals and providing technical expertise, you will be a vital part to our facilities’ success.

  • SystemImprovement and Innovation – We plan on you driving our futurewith confidence and an Owner’s Mindset. You will own the performance ofthe plant’s PLC software systems and network, electrical drawing system,and all power systems work. This could include hardware, software,plant/system wide architecture and surplus assets. One of the mostimportant aspects will be ensuring the successful delivery and use of thesetechnologies. You will be collaborating with the Sr. Systems Engineer topromote common systems, leveraging of scale, and future integrationpossibilities.

  • ProjectSupport & Delivery – You won’t just be keeping pace; you willbe setting it. You will be providing your expertise and leadership for allPCIS projects and site initiatives to meet business needs. You will workwith the Processing and Packing departments, as well as developing arelationship with Global Engineering, and vendors to provide and capturethe scope of each project.

  • CapabilityDevelopment – We grow together every day. You will be coachingand developing the engineering support organization and daily operationleadership. You will be managing training for site resources and ensuringexpertise around legal and Kellogg requirements.



  • HighSchool Diploma with substantial working experience in a related technicalfield

  • Strongworking knowledge with PLC programming (RS Logix/ Rockwell/Allen Bradley)

  • Effectivecommunication and interpersonal skills with ability to manage internal andexternal relationships

  • Abilityto manage multiple and conflicting priorities

  • Stronginfluential skills when working with technicians, managers and otherresources

Bonus Points:

  • Bachelor’sDegree in an Engineering or Technical field with extensive related workingexperience

  • Experiencewith electrical power distribution and project management

  • Experiencewith high voltage equipment and Server/Network Maintenance
