In the role of Associate Advisor, Labor Relations, you will be delivering success while you help manage the on-site coordination of labor relations activities. You will be a part of the HR Team at the Muncy Plant and assist the Plant HR Manager with employee complaints, grievance processing and filing. HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Coordination and Driving HR Services – You will be helping connect the plant to Kellogg HR. You will be the on-site coordinator for Labor Relations activities, which includes being the liaison between the Plant HR Manager, the Manufacturing HR Business Partner for your specific Business Unit, and our Global Business Services Center. You will be creating consistency and adoption of HR Technology with managers and employees, as well as service delivery model and programs. You will redirect HR inquiries to the most effective resource within the business.
Grievances – You will use your owner’s mindset by assisting in handling grievance responsibilities throughout the facility. This will include processing and filing, as well as responding, updating, documenting, and tracking grievances. Other related work will include handling employee complaints and supporting the arbitration process.
Crew Scheduling – You will help keep things running smoothly by producing accurate crew schedules to meet our production requirements and maintaining compliance with applicable union agreements.
Collaborative Approach – You will be interfacing with the union and plant staff, which includes supervisors, managers, schedulers, and hourly employees when appropriate. You’ll have the influence to shape a collaborative culture between HR and operations.
HR Generalist Activities – You will be assisting with other Generalist type activities when necessary, such as managing the hiring process for our hourly workforce.
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
High School Diploma/GED or International equivalent
Previous work experience in an HR role
Experience working in a union environment
Ability to work off-shift hours
Associate’s Degree or higher
General knowledge of the food industry
General knowledge of manufacturing practices
Ability to work a flexible work schedule to accommodate a 24/7 facility
