Kellogg Lead IT Security Engineer – Operational Technology in OAK BROOK, Illinois

We have an opening for you to grow with us as a Lead IT Security Engineer for Operational Technology in Battle Creek, MI or Oak Brook, IL.

HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Protect the operational technology network: Helping evolve, develop, communicate, and deploy new OT security strategy and standards to address business, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements for critical industrial controls systems.

  • Build relationships: Partner with global engineering and plant engineers to evaluate new security technologies and contribute to the manufacturing technology standards.

  • Technical expert: Act as a subject matter expert and hands-on technologist for OT security technologies and provide security-focused consultative services to the organization.

  • Keeping up-to-date with Industry Trends and emerging technologies associated with Operational Technology cybersecurity

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Experience working in current Information Security best practices in an enterprise environment

  • In-depth knowledge of IT security & IT controls concepts, practices, software, hardware and networking information technologies including IDS/IPS, NGFW, authentication, encryption, VPNs, secure protocols, data protection, data loss prevention, identity management solutions, application security and other domains as becomes necessary

  • Working knowledge of ethical hacking, malware and penetration testing techniques in current use

  • Highly developed interpersonal style with emphasis on collaboration, influencing and building strong longer-term relationships particularly across the Technologies organization

  • Excellent organizational and problem solving skills, sense of ownership

  • Ability to explain complex problems and concepts to all levels in the organization

  • Ability to work within a high-performing team that challenges each individual to formulate the best possible solutions while maintaining both professional candor and intellectual integrity

  • Willingness to learn new technologies and skillsets as demanded by changing technological, business, and regulatory landscape

Bonus Points:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment

  • Relevant and active professional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, OSCP/E, relevant GIAC or SANS certifications

  • Additionally, ideal candidate will have experience with specific technologies such as:

Identity governance & lifecycle solutions

Traditional and Next Gen Firewalls (Palo Alto, CheckPoint)

Active Directory knowledge

Scripting (JavaScript / Python)

Advanced Malware Detection

Open source Security Tools

ISO 27001/27002 or NIST framework

IDS / IPS
