We have an opening for you to grow with us as Sr. Security Architect – Operational Technology in Oak Brook, IL or Battle Creek, MI. This critical role will contribute to the design and build of the global IT security solutions which will protect the Kellogg brand, our intellectual property, and manufacturing and enterprise IT systems.


  • Enabling Kellogg’s organizations to conduct business safely. Identify and prioritize security architecture investments that are consistent with the business strategies

  • Advancing our strategic vision and security roadmap for operational technology (OT) systems that are used in manufacturing, warehouses, and building management.

  • Incorporating internal and external best practices, championing new standards that will enhance our security posture and align our capabilities with the evolving threat landscape and security trends

  • Acting as a hands-on technologist and subject matter expert in the design, coordination, technical evaluation, and integration of security capabilities around the globe

  • Ensuring that individual initiatives, commitments and services are delivered in a timely, effective and professional manner

  • Supporting audits and ensuring to design and build security solutions to mitigate audit finding and assessments

  • Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, emerging computing trends, and technologies related to operational technology security


Required Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Extensive experience in an information security role performing design or implementation of security solutions.

  • Experience securing Industrial Control Systems / Programmable Logic Controllers / SCADA / IoT installations

  • Expert knowledge of technical security solutions such as Next-Gen Firewalls, network segmentation, advanced malware detection, vulnerability management, secure protocols, data protection

  • Self-starter. Highly developed interpersonal style with emphasis on collaboration, influencing and building strong longer-term relationships particularly across the Technologies organization

  • Demonstrate technical thought leadership, ability to think strategically about business, and product challenges

Bonus Points:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/related field, or equivalent work experience

  • Relevant and active professional certifications such as CISSP, CCNA Industrial, CCNA Security, CCNP, CEH, OSCP/E, relevant GIAC or SANS certifications

  • Working knowledge and experience of current Information Security best practices in a large corporate environment

  • Additionally, ideal candidate will have advanced to expert knowledge and understanding of:

  • Manufacturing / operational technology security (Dragos, Nozomi)

  • Traditional and Next Gen Firewalls (Palo Alto, CheckPoint)

  • URL filtering solutions

  • Strong practical Linux and Windows-based systems administration skills in a Cloud or Virtualized environments

  • Advanced Malware Detection

  • Active Directory knowledge


  • Open source Security Tools

  • Knowledge of ISO 27001/27002, IEC 62443, NIST 800-82
