Kellogg Senior Maintenance Manager in OMAHA, Nebraska

In the role of Senior Maintenance Manager at our Omaha plant, you will play a crucial part in identifying and delivering programs & processes essential to our plant operations. As part of the Senior Leadership team for one of our largest manufacturing facilities, you will plan and execute the maintenance of site-wide equipment that supports the plant producing great food at a low cost. Managing and developing your team to provide a strong commitment to our strategic goals will be important to succeed together.

HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Maintenance Reliability – We believe in continuous improvement and strengthening our operations each and every day. You will be working collaboratively with the Maintenance and Operations teams to ensure resources are effectively focused on increasing reliability. You will also work closely with capital project teams to ensure maintenance and reliability are integrated into capital projects. You will be identifying, implementing and documenting maintenance and reliability best practices. Financial success is also important as you will be developing and managing the departmental budget.

  • Strategic Thinking – Having an Owner’s Mindset and Agility is key to your success! You will use strong problem solving skills and root cause analysis to resolve and mitigate maintenance issues. You will be in charge of planning, scheduling, and executing planned and predictive maintenance activities. It’s important that you have a firm focus around the development of the maintenance area’s short-term and long-term strategic vision. And lastly, safety is at the cornerstone of what we do, so plan on supporting the safety programs across the site and establishing consistent benchmarks.

  • People Management – You will be a leader that others will rely on. You will be supervising Maintenance Supervisors, Maintenance Planning, and any Maintenance purchasing or store personnel. You will be responsible for crewing the department and shift scheduling. You will be accountable to driving skills training, utilizing your resources to ensure your workforce is maintained at a high level.

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

Required:

  • HS Diploma/GED and extensive experience in a manufacturing setting with operations supervision and/or management experience

  • Proven track record establishing Safety Programs for Maintenance teams that have consistently delivered benchmark results.

  • Ability to build strategic relationships with key stakeholders across the operation to ensure improved collaboration and deliver results

  • Proven track record developing winning teams

  • Project Management skills

  • Ability to manage budgets of $5MM and above.

  • Ability to manage well in a complex, high volume, high paced, changing environment Proven technical mastery in maintenance systems, programs, and budgeting practices.

  • Proven problems solving and root cause analysis skills

  • Experience participating in lean manufacturing events and managing lean projects

Bonus Points:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and extensive experience in a manufacturing setting with operations supervision and/or management experience

  • Experience implementing best in class maintenance programs and strategies (TPM, RCM, Predictive and Preventative Maintenance)

  • Familiarity with working on packaging machines, a background in processing

  • Experience within the food and beverage industry

  • Experience within an Unionized environment

  • Experience in a department or plant turnaround situation
