Kellogg Sanitation Manager in ROME, Georgia

As a Sanitation Program Manager, you will lead a team of hourly and salaried individuals with a purpose of creating a safe and hygienic facility for the production of uncommonly good food. Your extensive knowledge of industry standards, and knowing what it takes to produce quality results, will be key ingredients in your recipe to success.

The role of sanitation program manager is a subject matter expert (SME) for food manufacturing hygiene, equipment sanitation and sanitary design. This position drives sanitation program performance and provides leadership to their department and collaboration with their site management team peers.

HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • People Management – You will be leading a team of leaders and associates that will have responsibilities around sanitation in a 24/7 operation. We want you to use your people leadership and influential skills to develop, inspire, and energize your team towards a high standard of performance and self-accountability.

  • Analytical Yet Experienced – As a seasoned professional you’ll apply knowledge, experience, critical thinking, and testing solutions to lead problem-solving efforts. Prepare reports, presentations, and deliver training – ready for it all?

  • Overall Direction – The position assumes primary responsibility for leading the implementation and execution of Kellogg policies and programs related to the management of food facility and equipment sanitation and cleaning, and undertaking and resolving complex issues.

  • Setting the Budget – Work with Kellogg’s Sanitation Center of Excellence, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to identify, standardize, and implement best practices, new technologies and methods related to these areas of expertise

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree and experience in plant quality/food safety/sanitation or MS degree in food science

  • Advanced knowledge of food safety, sanitation, sanitary design and pest control.

  • Knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Bonus Points:

  • SAP experience

  • HACCP and/or SQF certifications

  • Pest Control certification(s) and monitoring experience
