HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Trade Strategy - Driving and championing the ongoing development and execution of trade architecture and promotion strategy will be an important aspect of your responsibilities. You will be accountable for the analysis of trade spending with the overall objective of maximizing the efficiency and effectiveness of trade funding.
Mix Strategy – Putting your analytical skills to work you will perform analysis around product categories and account / retailer mix.
Pricing Architecture - Driving visibility of compliance to pricing architecture and promoted price strategy across all accounts will be key to your success.
Account Support – You will work to assist teams in the achievement of their account trade budgets, Net Sales Volume (NSV) / Sales Contribution Margin. This position identifies volume and/or trade spend shortfalls and recommends promotional opportunities that cost effectively address gaps. You will work with the account team to optimize calendars in preparation for joint business plans.
Business Analytics – Your analytical mindset will serve you well as you conduct pre and post analysis of specific trade events/activities at brand and account level. Developing category, competitive and company insights will be necessary as you properly allocate trade dollars.
Internal Collaboration – Working with internal partners you will influence and coordinate the efforts of various groups to maximize the return of Kellogg’s Investment. These groups include but are not limited to, Customer Marketing, Sales, Shopper Marketing, Sales Finance, and Business Unit Finance.
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
High School Diploma / GED
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required to influence key stakeholders
Ability to create selling stories using analytics
Strong understanding of the selling process and the route to market across multiple channels
Solid working knowledge of Profit & Loss statements and drivers of profitable growth
Proven strong analytical skills and business analysis experience
Ability to retrieve, merge, understand and interpret data from numerous sources
Advanced computer skills including high level proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
Extensive CPG industry experience
Customer Account Management Experience
Trade Promotions Management (TPM) and Business Warehouse experience
Nielsen (Answers On Demand) proficiency
Solutions based mind set and ability to sell and influence ideas internally and externally
It is preferred that the ideal candidate will reside in either the Battle Creek, MI, Cincinnati, OH or Philadelphia, PA metros areas. There may be flexibility to work in other locations within the US.
Overnight travel is estimated at around 30% but may vary depending on location of residency.
